Finding a coffee shop where larger groups or children are welcome can sometimes be difficult, especially in a college town. Thankfully, Brentwood Social House recently opened and it’s the best of both worlds — a place to get work done, or a place to socialize over breakfast or brunch.
The shop is set up in an old home with several rooms including one with some toys for children to entertain themselves with. Out back, there is a patio with picnic tables for larger groups. For me, I set myself up in the main room and spent a couple hours working over a cortado and a “fat rascal,” Brentwood’s version of a scone.
The atmosphere is quite pleasant; local art is placed on the walls to give it Austin vibes, and the blue cabinet counter is a statement piece that gives the shop vintage impressions.
For a cozy morning over coffee and friends, Brentwood Social House is a great choice.
